Step 1: Before Arriving in Japan

Application for Certificate of Eligibility (COE / 在留資格認定証明書交付申請)

Foreign nationals who wish to enter Japan for purposes other than tourism or permanent residence must apply for a Certificate of Eligibility. This certificate proves that your intended activities in Japan meet the requirements for a specific visa category.

By presenting the Certificate of Eligibility when applying for a visa at a Japanese embassy or upon arrival in Japan, you can speed up the visa or landing permission process.

Step 2: After Arrival and Settlement in Japan

● Application for Change of Status of Residence（在留資格変更許可申請）
If you wish to change your current status of residence due to a change in activities (such as from student to employee), you can apply for a new status of residence.

● Application for Extension of Period of Stay（在留期間更新許可申請）
If you would like to continue your stay in Japan beyond your current period of stay without changing your visa status, you will need to apply for an extension.

● Application for Permanent Residence（永住許可申請）
This application is for those who wish to obtain permanent resident status in Japan, including those changing their status or applying for permanent residency after birth.eigner wishes to change his or her residence status, or a foreigner who wishes to acquire a residence status due to birth, etc., they can change to a permanent resident status or obtain a permanent resident residence status.

Full COE Support Package

¥300,000 per person (excluding tax)

This comprehensive package includes:

1. Application for Certificate of Eligibility
   
2. Two applications: either
   
   • Two applications for extension of period of stay, or
     
   • One application for extension + one application for change of status
     
3. Additional Services:
   
   • One consultation on daily life in Japan
     
   • One Japanese language learning session
     

This package covers support not only before your arrival but also after you begin living in Japan.

We also offer additional support, such as assistance with housing (as licensed real estate professionals) and introduction to language schools or private Japanese teachers.
